At
breathe yoga studio we encourage students to take responsibility
for their own practice. Yoga is personal and non-competitive.
Try to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before class to register. If the studio door is closed please, try to be quiet as another class is still in session.
Breathe
Yoga is pleased to offer yoga mats to students free of charge. However,
it is highly recommended that you bring your own personal yoga mat
for hygienic reasons. Good quality yoga mats
can be purchased from us for as little as $30. For convenience,
students are welcome to leave their mats in the studio change facilities.
Do not eat for at least three hours before class. Yoga should not be practiced on a full stomach.
Wear leggings,
yoga pants, tights or shorts and a top that will allow the teacher
to see how you are aligned. All clothing should be comfortable and
allow the body to breathe.
If you are pregnant, have experienced a serious injury, or have
serious chronic health problems please check with your doctor before
beginning to practice yoga.
If you are pregnant or have an injury or other problem that would affect your practice, please tell your teacher.
Remember
to drink plenty of water after each class. A hot bath or shower
is especially helpful after a strenuous class.
While one class a week is better than none at all, yoga is most
beneficial when practiced regularly. Try to come at least two classes a week and also try to practice a little bit on your own everyday.
