You tune-up your car... now tune-up your body! This 2 hour stretch intensive will help relieve those nagging aches and pains from your training and racing. You will leave feeling 'light' and a little more balanced. Muscles, joints and tendons that are often strained and subject to overuse injury will be the focus of this workout. This is a suitable for those new to yoga and also a good refresher for those that have taken Christine Felstead's Yoga for Runners workshop series.

Description
This 8-week series of 1 1/2 hour classes uses the foundations of yoga to bring awareness to structural and muscular imbalances caused by repetitive strain on specific muscle groups used in running. Muscles, joints and tendons that are subject to overuse injury will be he focus. Each week will have a specific body emphasis, leading to the development of an individualized post run routine.

About the Teacher:


Christine Felstead
has over 20 years experience as a marathon and other common road race distances. She has 12 years of yoga experience and 6 years as a yoga instructor focusing primarily on runners and endurance athletes.
Her work with runners teaches them to incorporate yoga as an effective means of cross training. She has taught hundreds of runners how to incorporate yoga into their weekly fitness regimen, helping them overcome general tightness, nagging injuries and reducing risk of injury. Most of her students have gone on to meet personal racing goals. Christine and her Yoga for Runners program has been featured in several articles: Runners World Magazine (March 2006), YogaLife (May 2006) , Yoga Fit (Feb 2007) and iRun (May 2008).
