The Fundamentals of Teaching Yoga to Beginners: Laying the Foundation for a Safe & Rewarding Yoga Journey with andrea peloso Sunday May 2 12-5pm at our satellite studio Teaching beginners yoga brings both opportunity and challenge. Guiding a student in laying the foundation for what we hope will be a life long practice places the teacher in a unique and privileged position. It is an incredibly rewarding and delicate aspect of teaching and requires some special skills to keep a beginning student safe, happy, and practicing. Some of the knowledge required involves a very applied sense of anatomy and injuries and a keen attention of how to teach students to avoid these for themselves. Other knowledge is a more intuitive such as understanding Learning to read students in both their physical needs, as well as emotional Come prepared to investigate your mission for teaching, communication style, and assumptions about yourself and others. This will also be a time when we will explore the dynamics of adjusting, partner work, and the applied anatomy.

In addition to her teacher training and on-going trainings, she has studied applied anatomy extensively with internationally renowned teacher Judith Hanson Lasater, and also Ramanand Patel, Ron Ried, Chuck Miller, and Maty Ezraty.
