Modifying for Moms To Be

Sunday February 5 12-4pm @ Breathe in Bloor West Village This engaging 4 hour workshop will allow you to gain more confidence working with pregnant women in your yoga classes. It will provide information that will help you to be more knowledgeable, inclusive and supportive of the pregnant women who choose to come to your classes. Discuss a few of the common discomforts/concerns the above can cause and how it may affect & change the asana practise; Learn basic guidelines that will allow your pregnant students to practise safely while in your class; Cover basic asana modifications through the trimesters; Learn some hands-on touch and massage techniques specifically geared to pregnant women; Discuss briefly safe and effective pranayama & meditation techniques
Tracey Currie is a certified Yoga Instructor who has been teaching yoga to pregnant and post natal women and offering Birthing Workshops to expectant couples for the past 10 years. She feels very blessed to have been a part of the Breathe teaching team since the doors opened in 2001. In addition to her 350 hour Teacher Training Certification from Yoga Space she has completed studies with Hart Lazer, Darby, John Friend, Todd Norian and Anne Green, Janice Clarfield, Dharma Mittra, and Mark Finch
