In this week long intensive series, students of all levels of yoga will have the opportunity to explore the Ashtanga series more fully through a disciplined morning practice. 

Learn and practice the full Primary Series and be introduced to the asanas in the Second Series – rarely practiced in regular drop-in classes. 

Throughout the week, the foundation will be laid for students to further discover their potential and enable a deeper personal Ashtanga practice.

 

Students can expect to:

 ~    practice all of the asanas (postures) of the Ashtanga Primary Series (normally time constraints of classes only allow for part of the series)

~     experience the design of the Ashtanga Yoga system and gain more insight into why it works so well in fine tuning our bodies and minds

~     steadily apply breath, bandhas (inner locks) and drishti (gaze) throughout the practice to immerse deeply into the foundational structure of Ashtanga

~ begin to explore the asanas and sequencing of the second series in a slow and methodical manner, bringing a new dimension to our practice.
