yoga in italy
an italian yoga and cultural holiday
may 12-22, 2010
Breathe is heading to Italy for a tour of Rome and subsequently practicing yoga at the inimitable Santa Maria del Sole Retreat Centre (click for website) in the south Puglia.
Students have the option of participating in a 3 day tour of Rome tour and a week long Yoga Retreat in Puglia, or meeting the group in Puglia for just the retreat portion.
For those participating in the full tour, we will meet in Rome where we will tour its vast cultural and architectural masterpieces, including Michelangelo's Cistene Chapel, the Vatican, The Colloseum, The Pantheon.
We will wonder the tiny streets of Rome, hang out at the Spanish steps, browse the Italian designer districts, dine on the world famous Roman cuisine and eat delicious gellato at the Trevi fountain.
After 3 days in Rome, we will head to Puglia via private bus and along the way we will stop along the spectacular Amalfi coast for lunch and a brief tour.
Once we reach our home for the next 7 days - the Santa Maria del Sole Masseria (typical Puglian farmhouse) we will begin our yoga journey -- 6 days of yoga classes and workshops with Laurie Campbell.
In between yoga classes, we will tour the Itrian Valley on bicycles, head to the Adriatic coast, or explore the nearby ancient villages and churches. We will be wined and dined on local italian cuisine made from locally grown organic ingredients by our Italian hosts.
Don't miss this unprecedented opportunity to experience a magical cultural and yoga journey with Laurie Campbell, Senior Yoga Instructor and Director of Teacher Training, and Svitlana Nalywayko, Breathe Yoga Director and experienced Italy traveller, and fellow yogis.
